About us
The International Days of Jewish Music celebrate Jewish and non-Jewish life side by side in Europe, follow the traces of Jewish life past and present, and make the richness of Jewish music heard and seen.
Artists of the first rank
Since 2016 this mission has brought outstanding ensembles and musicians to the synagogues of Central Europe: the clarinettist Sharon Kam, the chanson singer Sandra Kreisler, the Jewish artist Roman Grinberg, the singer Helene Schneiderman, the cellist David Geringas, the violinist Piotr Plawner, the singers Sveta Kundish and Avital Gerstetter, the pianist Piotr Salajczyk, the Ladino Andaluce Ensemble, the Nigun Quartett and many more.
Our history
The series grew out of the synagogue tours of the Usedomer Musikfestival, which have been discovering Jewish life in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania since 2009.
The International Days of Jewish Music carry that mission further: they take the message of a peaceful coexistence built on respect and curiosity beyond Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and into Germany as a whole.
